The material
Pura. Plant-based. Plastic-free. Built to perform.
A fully bio-based leather alternative made from plant-based cellulose and bio-based binders. No PU. No PVC. No synthetic polymers at any stage. Completely biodegradable at end of life.
Two things no widely available bio-leather currently offers simultaneously: complete end-of-life biodegradability, and the performance to serve automotive, footwear, and technical applications that most plant-based alternatives cannot reach.

Configuration
We configure the material to your application.
Standard specifications are a starting point. Industrial applications have specific requirements — flex endurance for a footwear upper is different from a door panel, VOC requirements for automotive are different from furniture. We work with buyers to configure the material to the application, validate it against their specifications, and supply it ready for their manufacturing process.
FAQ
The questions buyers ask first.
- What is the material made from?
- Plant-based cellulose and bio-based binders — no polyurethane, no PVC, no synthetic polymers of any kind.
- Is it really biodegradable?
- Yes — completely. Because the material uses bio-based binders rather than polyurethane, the entire material biodegrades at end of life. No microplastics. No synthetic residue. This distinguishes it from most bio-based leathers, which contain polyurethane binders that do not biodegrade.
- Do you supply standard specifications or configure to our requirements?
- Both. We have standard material specifications that can be sampled immediately. For industrial applications, we work with buyers to understand their specific performance requirements and configure the material accordingly. We are transparent about what is achievable today and what requires development work.
- What is the price?
- We do not publish a price list because price depends on application, specification, volume, and development requirements. We start every conversation with your target price and target specifications, and tell you honestly whether we can meet them and what is involved.
- Can it be processed on existing equipment?
- Yes. Embossable, sewable, mouldable, and laminate-compatible on existing industrial equipment. No new capital expenditure required.
